01- ASA/JET 1500 Series BAT® Media Residential Micro-Plant The ASA/JET BAT 1500 SERIES ® residential wastewater treatment Micro-plant, is produced in 5 models with capacities of 500, 750, 1000, 1250 and 1500 gallons per day (GPD).

They are designed to provide service from a single house to a set of 10 houses. It is a system designed for the decontamination of domestic wastewater, careful engineering and excellence in current technology.

This one package plant is a natural, organic, chemical-free system, fully automatic without complex electronics, no filters to change and designed to handle all the debris of a house. It reduces domestic wastewater to a clear, odorless and environmentally friendly liquid, in just 24 hours.

03- The ASA/JET Residential micro-plant employs a biochemical process where aerobic bacteria absorb the dissolved oxygen and thus degrade the organic matter. This process, called aerobic digestion, is also used in large wastewater treatment plants.
1.     The primary treatment compartment (Pretreatment Compartment), receives the wastewater and holds enough to allow solid matter to settle down forming a layer of sludge at the bottom of the tank. Here, the action of anaerobic bacteria continually degrades the wastewater solids.

2.    In the aeration chamber (Treatment Compartment or “Bio-Reactor”), the finely divided material pretreated in the primary compartment is mixed with activated sludge and is aerated. Here the new ASA/JET 700 Series Aerator and BAT® Media work in tandem to provide complete biological processing. Large amounts of microorganisms are attached to the submerged BAT® Media. The ASA/JET 700 Series Aerator, stir and mix the contents, injecting large amounts of air to meet the demand of oxygen in the aerobic digestion process. The result is a fast and extraordinary level of treatment converting wastewater into an odorless, colorless treated water.

3. The final stage takes place in the Sedimentation/Clarification compartment (Settling Compartment), where there is no turbulence that interferes with the process of sedimentation and clarification. Fine particles settle through the inclined walls of the hopper and returns to the aeration chamber for further treatment. The clarified and odorless liquid remains in the surface and then discharged to the effluent line, preventing environmental upset.

Normally the plant is completely buried and access to service and fresh air for the required operation of the treatment plant is obtained by an extension of concrete that rises above the ground. This extension is provided with a cover with integrated ventilation.
